How to choose the right size for your child

Choosing the right size is essential for your baby's well-being and comfort . Little feet grow rapidly and don't always follow the same rhythm: each stage of development has different shapes and times, which is why our collections offer sizes tailored to the real needs of little ones.

Like adults, children can experience discomfort or pain if their shoes don't fit properly. To help you choose, we've prepared a practical guide that explains how to correctly measure your foot and find the right size.

The ideal time to measure your foot is in the evening , when it's more relaxed and slightly stretched. You can do it easily by following these steps:

  • Place the foot on a sheet of paper and draw a line from the heel to the big toe to determine its actual length .
  • Add 1.2–1.5 cm to the measurement obtained, the physiological space needed for growth.
  • Cut a strip of cardboard this length and insert it into the shoe: if it fits easily, the size is right .

It's advisable to repeat this operation every 3–4 months , because children's feet grow by an average of 3 mm per month . Checking the size periodically will help you always choose the most comfortable and safe shoe.

Below you will find our comparison table, designed to help you accurately identify the ideal Walkey size for your child.
